The Blue Rose Girls gave a panel discussion at the North Shore Reading Council Meeting last night. Great fun, special thanks to organizer Elaine and our gracious audience!
Thank you so much, Ladies! Last night's panel discussion with the Blue Rose Girls was one of the best events our council has ever hosted! Judging from the positive feedback I received from people who attended the meeting, I would have to say that they agreed with me. That's saying something because our council has had some mighty awesome speakers in the past: Jack Gantos, Barbara Cooney, Natalie Babbitt, Lois Lowry, Anita Lobel, Joseph Bruchac, Mary Ann Hoberman, Robert San Souci, Wendell Minor, Natalie Kinsey-Warnock, Kathryn Lasky...too many for me to name them all.
I think Meghan is right-- you ladies should take your show on the road.
how fantastic is that! I wish I had known that was going on, I would tried really hard to attend. To have so much talent in one room is something not to be missed!
I have an email mailing list you can sign up for on my web site where I send out newsletters announcing events like this- we will probably do this kind of talk again, if you add your email address you'll get a notice about it next time!
I think my major issue is my freakishly long neck. I should wear scarves all the time. Also, my friend Julia couldn't beleieve I had my crappy jacket on in one shot. Hmmm. Typical me, never dressing the part!
