I loved this book as a kid because it taught me about color--how to mix colors, etc. Also, the colors themselves printed on the page were really vibrant and still are!

To see a lot more images from the book go here.
p.s - I loved her rose colored glasses.

Really fun. I actually have never seen this before. I must lead a sheltered life. Thanks.
I forgot about this book but I LOVED it as a kid! I loved the lemonade page you posted - the color is so sharp it just looks sour. And I loved the rose one too!
I've had a couple of friends give me a copies of this book (knowing I collect children's books) -- they all cite it as a longtime favorite. I remember being impressed with the glass on the jars of jam...
I love Alice and Martin Provensen! Randomly when I went to NY and got my first children's book contract years ago I stayed with a friend upstate who was renting a cottage on Alice's farm. I got to meet her, she was super nice!
